Kimberly Varney

Editor-in-Chief

Kimberly Varney built her career managing the behind-the scenes lives of people who live in the spotlight. For more than two decades, she supported A-List celebrities, high-profile athletes, and ultra-high-net-worth families with complex logistics and multi-property operations. With an eye for detail and a penchant for hyper-organization, she designed the systems and managed the teams that kept extraordinary lives on track.

She has always been driven by a desire to help out, to organize, and to bring ideas to life. That passion shaped her volunteer work in nonprofit consulting and community development, developing projects that fuel education, access, and organizational growth. She’s also supported the efforts of others, applying her project management skills to producing large scale nonprofit events including SXSW EDU, Maker Faires, and FIRST Robotics competitions.

Speedwell brings it all together for Kimberly. It combines a behind-the-scenes perspective, a passion for storytelling, a drive to build community, and a platform to make a difference. Inspired by a lifelong connection to racing through her endurance-racing father, the magazine explores the sport as seen from the inside; work, family, travel, design, and community within racing culture. The Speedwell Foundation will give purpose to Speedwell events, supporting Kimberly’s mission to build a thriving philanthropic ecosystem in motorsport.
